Welcome to North Mymms Youth and Community Centre – your local community centre and venue for activities, meetings, events and parties.
It’s your centre – get involved!
The centre is a charity run by a tiny handful of volunteers.
Whatever your background and skills, and whether you could volunteer for a few hours a year or a few hours a week, we could use your help to keep the centre viable.
As well as regular volunteer roles, we would love to have a register of reliable people we could call on, even occasionally – sometimes for a task that would only take a few minutes, but which none of our volunteers is available to do.
Our only paid role is “cleaner” – and we are keen to find one or more pople who we could occasionallyemploy to clean the centre when our cleaner is away.
Could you do DIY? Touch up some paintwork? Fix a shelf? Put up a poster?
Could you occasionally show a hirer round? Report on whether the hall is clean after a party? Close a door left unlocked?
Could you help with our website, publicity, bookings? Anything else?
Could you help with a spot of gardening? Take on a flowerbed? Prune the roses annually? Strim the paths twice a year?
Could you help with our grounds? Empty the litter bin in the carpark ? Litter pick occasionally?
We are a registered charity, located between Brookmans Park and Welham Green, with a particular responsibility to benefit the people of North Mymms – the electoral ward and parish where we are based and which includes Brookmans Park, Welham Green and Little Heath.
- We have rooms to hire for parties, family events, regular meetings
- We accommodate a nursery, boxing gym and several regular clubs and societies
- We also have extensive grounds used by local people
- We have a football pitch available for hire to local teams.
